My burl cutoffs & scrap pieces for casting, crafts & DIY projects. The photos & associated pictures are not the exact boxes you will receive—they are examples of a representative box full of the grab bag of cutoffs & non-debarked pieces in large flat rate USPS Packages. Boxes include a wide variety of pieces. Big, small, irregular shapes and dimensioned rectangular pieces…

These boxes contain larger pieces, sometimes they’re veneer thin slices, but surface area is too big and cumbersome to fit into the small boxes. Point is that these pieces are wonderful for those who work with resin & epoxy etc. They’re the “scrap” pieces I don’t use for the pens I make. I’ve included pictures of a pen for reference to the grain pattern & figure within these pieces. Again, these are perfect for resin casting or epoxy inlays & even small crafts. If I can, I fill it with more burl pieces (cubes to thin slices) to give you the most for your money.

My burl cutoffs & extra pieces for crafts & DIY projects. The burl for sale is intended to give those who don’t have access to highly-figured burl cutoffs at a reasonable price. My black cherry burl boxes have a variety of burl pieces cut into a manageable shape for a wide variety of projects. Examples include turning projects, as some are square or a rectangle, where I’ve left one to three of the sides side flat and the outer side bumpy or jagged with the bark edge. Further, you can glue them up.

There are many possibilities for these live edge burl cutoffs. The limit is truly your imagination.  They offer the opportunity to create unique, highly-figured crafts, turned items, wood & acrylic hybrid blanks etc. Most boxes I try to add extra pieces too, some of the extras may be thin, veneer thin, but figured for gluing or segmented blanks for woodturning projects… But, I want to emphasize these small fillers don’t take away from the volume or quality of the primary contents. They’re extra and are in addition to what’s pictured.

The pictures shown are literally the exact box you will receive. I number boxes so there is no confusion about what to expect. That said, my black cherry burl cutoffs, small scrap pieces & debarked live-edge cutoffs are wonderful for those who work with resin & epoxy. They’re the “scrap” pieces & extra live-edge outer portions I don’t use for the pens I make. Please reference my pens listed to get a feel for the grain pattern & figure within these pieces. I fill each box as full as I can & as mentioned, add extras where they’ll fit. The extras are in addition to what you see in the picture with the displayed contents.
